You walk into a class full of young ambitious people all wanting the same thing you do aside from passing the class, becoming experts on the field of medicine. There's more than the just the old doctor scribbling down medication on a pad to give you so you can leave him alone, or just playing around with the pulse machine to check out your cholesterol level. There's a deeper meaning for life, creation or plainly our very existence. I'm not here to preach that isn't my deal, I plan on being someone that changes the world one person at a time. Isn't that how it all started with the late great MLK? You have one idea that you start to share and before you know it spreads like wildfire.
My name is Lucas Jarron Reynolds and I'm a medical grad student over at Cornell university school of medicine here in the big apple. I'm a practicing peditrician and children are amazing. Its plain and simple, I want to do something that changes at least one person's life. Cause that is enough to know why I'm living, I have a reason for being. Helping my cousin when he broke his arm last year was something that got me going, I had to do something and not just wait around for help. Studying the medical field and already its so intense. We're small creatures but have so many problems going on within us. Can I just say I didn't appreciate life until I registered early last fall and began to see the wonders of how our bodies can break down yet heal itself when needed. I'm still trying to wrap my head over the concept of a human bone is as strong as granite in supporting weight. A block of bone the size of a matchbox can support 9 tons – that is four times as much as concrete can support!! Sorry...I dunno what happened there I'll close my textbook.
